Y-bearings with an eccentric fastener are primarily designed for applications in which the direction of rotation is constant. The wider inner ring on one side has an eccentric staircase. This stairs holds the mounting flange. Rotating the fastener in the direction of rotation fixes the ring and bearing to the axis. In addition, the rim is secured by an additional caterpillar screw to the shaft. The eccentric fastener is galvanized for metric bore bearings, and the inch is black for bearings.
